THE DILEMMA OF MEMORIES

A memory is either a stain Or a star, 

the deep stain renting in your brain

Or, the star that glows up in your gloominess.

A stain that can soak up your entire soul, 

Or, a sheet of stars that can embrace your night. 


A memory is either a nightmare Or a beautiful dream,

a nightmare which haunts you in the daylight

Or, a dream that cures your sleepless night.

A nightmare that can choke you to death, 

Or, a dream that helps you to catch your breath. 



A memory is either a stab Or a cure, 

a stab that reminds you of nothing but pain, 

Or, a cure that can heal moments of despair.

A stab that can surely leave a scar, 

Or,a cure for your still bleeding wounds.  


A memory is either a noise or a sweet tune, 

a noise that intrudes your inner peace, 

Or,a pleasant tune that soothes your soul.

A noise that can overpower your soul, 

Or,a melody that can flow through your rhythmless life. 


A memory is either a trap or a treasure, 

a trap that can lock you in suffocation

Or, a timeless treasure that is lying inside you.

A trap that has no escape, 

Or, a treasure that is worth seeking. 


A memory is either a grief or a bliss, 

a grief which makes your heart heavy, 

Or, a bliss that makes your day bright. 

A grief that holds you back, 

Or, a bliss that wholeheartedly loves you.

  The days after you were gone I woke up with a void in my chest, I walked with an emptiness in my soul, And the butterflies in my stomach had died a painful death, A shattered puzzle with missing pieces,I guess. The brighter the sun started to shine,the heavier the void became. As if a ball of unknown mass had been kept hidden in the void and it kept pulling me down, I didn’t fight rather I let the invisible tentacles of the unknown mass grow on my skin and blood, while all I can feel was the void enlarging itself and finally enveloping me in its dark embrace.   The months after you were gone I visited your gravestone …. Me and The monster

  I used to ask people, If they’ve seen any monster. To my utter delight, I always got varieties of answers. Some said,It hides under my bed, As the colour of the sky changes from blue to black, It gets stronger and stronger. Some said,it follows me in the darkness, When I switch off the light in my room, It extends its muscular hands to choke me down. Some said, It’s swinging in the huge banyan tree at the backyard of my house, With the arrival of winter evenings, It gets thirstier for fresh scarlett blood. Some even said, It haunts kids,who don’t like to eat vegetables, and skip their lunch.
