HEAR MY VOICE
An unwanted echo from the past
Creating rhythms of pain and misery
And plunging her heart into an invisible pit
Amidst of muzzy cacophony she can hear the knock
Behind the shabby door awaits a jolt
The awaiting past knocking at her lockless door
As she stretches her shivering hand
Her restless heart freezes itself
And her brain flashes the unpleasant
A doll with chubby cheeks and shiny eyes
Knitting the dreams to cath the glowing flies
Chasing the paperboat with her little toes
Touching rainbow with her curious eyes
Colouring the canvas with vibrant hues
Counting the stars being unaware of its extent
Questioning the unusual in a querying voice
Winning many hearts with her jolly smile
But...........
When those greedy eyes scan her body,
rough palms touches her bare back
She wants to run
She wants to scream
But the starving beast grabs her hair
Threatens her to hide the scar
Suppressing himself on her bare body
He used to prove his masculinity
Days after days she endured it all
Nobody was there to answer her silent call
And she was all alone even in the crowd
No one can see her bleeding soul in the shroud
Stained clothes, ignored bruises and a shaken soul
Were all she get to hide her pain in whole
Now after a decade..........
She can still hear her sobbing childhood,
Where a blooming innocence was lost
And an worst flashback was made
Where she can only find wounds and afflictions,
Those wounds which weren't attended
Those wounds which can never be healed
And afflictions which are deeply stuffed
A ruined and bleeding childhood
Where secrets are burried deep down
A broken doll screaming in a gloomy shelf
Suffering the pain all by herself
An untidy and crushed childhood
Where suffocating memory eclipses her path
And where she can find no way out
Loud screams from an ill-fated cradle
Where rising infancy was chained
And her joyous soul was drowned
Even a lavish present couldn't heal the wound
Child abuse is never okay and it can never be irrespective of the reasons. Child abuse in India is one of the biggest social stigmas attached to the society. It is found that 90%of the abusers are known to the victims. And sometimes the parents even try to suppress the matter being all aware of the abuser and what their child has been through. According to The Hindu, in a global survey for children abuse,India stands top on the list. During this lockdown period the condition has become worse. While people across country are fighting with pandemic, many children out there are all trapped with their abusers. It has been seen a lot of times that many of us just overlook the matter and let that go. But we need to remember that our brain mostly flashes the unpleasant when you have suffered all alone for a long time.
Here is a piece of verse about their sufferings and I hope it can help you to raise the voice.
